About The College:
Clydebank College moved to its brand new campus on the banks of the Clyde in 2007, and the Dumbarton campus opened in summer 2008. These developments herald a new era for the College, strengthening and renewing its commitment to helping all its learners to realise their ambitions.
The college offers a range of courses leading to qualifications which include Highers, National Certificates, Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND).
Courses run in the following areas- Centre for Enterprise: Administration; Business and Tourism; Computing and Information Technology; Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy; Hospitality and Catering; Languages
- Centre for Education, Care and Leisure: Care; Social Science; Sport; Supported Learning
- Centre for Media and Technology: Art, Design, Music and Photography; Construction; Engineering; Maths and Science; Media and Communication.
There are around 10,000 full and part time students.
Clydebank has close links with a number of universities, opening up a range of progression opportunities for HNC and HND students.
Support for learning
The Study Base Team supports any student having difficulty with learning, using a range of facilities and technologies to help.
They can also offer specialist support for students who have health difficulties, dyslexia, physical disabilities, sensory or learning impairment, or any other condition which may affect their learning.
Child care
The college does not have a nursery, but may be able to help fund registered child care elsewhere.
Adult entrants
The college has many adult students returning to education or changing career.
Access courses
There are Access courses leading to higher education in Nursing and Social Work.
Part time study
Part time vocational and leisure courses run both day and evening, at the Clydebank and Dumbarton campuses.
There are flexible, open learning and online courses for those who find it difficult to attend college.
Community courses
Outreach courses run throughout East and West Dunbartonshire and Argyll and Bute.
